Britton D. Weimer
Britton Weimer is a founding partner at JonesSatre&Weimer. He co-chairs the firm’s Insurance Practice Group and the Employment Practice Group. Mr. Weimer’s practice encompasses a wide range of insurance coverage, insurance defense, and commercial litigation, including EPL, CGL, Directors & Officers, insurance and real estate E&O, accounting and medical malpractice, construction defects, liquor liability, media, collections, lender liability and products liability.
Mr. Weimer is an experienced and successful civil litigation attorney, trial and appellate. He has an “AV” peer-review rating with Martindale Hubbell. He has a national practice, and is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Texas. He has argued over 40 cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Weimer is a nationally-recognized authority in insurance law. He has written and co-authored several authoritative books and treatises, including:

- Minnesota Insurance Law and Practice (West, 2001)
- CGL Policy Handbook (Aspen, 2000)

Mr. Weimer’s practice also emphasizes litigation avoidance for businesses and non-profit organizations. He has written two national risk management books for businesses and religious organizations: Stay Out Of Court and Stay In Business (2nd ed., Common Law, 1996) and Stay Out Of Court and Stay in Ministry (CSS, 1998).
